I spent yesterday afternoon looking into discrepancies between what was in our database and what one of our users said should be in it, after the implementation of my programming changes. As I expected, the discrepancies of course turned out to be mistakes in the user's test script, but I had to prove it. And I did, with simple arithmetics leading me from one clue to the next.

There is beauty in simple arithmetics.
