At the grocery store yesterday, I saw something in the pharmacy dept the first quick glance of which immediately made me think of the late Cordwainer Smith.

A nasal spray called Nostrilla.

Come to think of it, I don't know if _Norstrilia_ has the explanation for them--it might have been in one of the collections. They were the modified weasels that telepathically broadcast fear and trembling into Norstrilia's enemies' ships.

I remember not liking the novel "Norstrilia" because the humorous tone felt wrong. The short stories though.... Wow. I'm going to have to reread them.
