the days from the BC years

Every once in a while, I find myself curious about what happened to some of the people I interacted with in during my BC years. 'BC' of course stands for 'Before College', or do I look that decrepit? ("As a matter of fact...") Shush. After college, I did meet my high-school chemistry teacher, an old man who clearly remembered me - favorably, I hasten to add to the mauvaises langues. As for the other kids, I eventually learned that a couple of the popular ones who had been kind to this socially inept boy had committed suicide. Ironically, those who had not been particularly kind had become priests. I wonder what happened to the very pretty girl who, in high-school, made me discover Lovecraft.

That too. We make fun of him nowadays, but it was quite a shock to a 16-year-old boy.
