Has someone ever written a steampunk story about what happens when all the Babbage engines reach the first minute of January 1, 1900? If I had any talent, I'd write it, along with "A Brush with Atomic Death in Gay Paris". The latter would be set in 1893, and would depict Toulouse-Lautrec, Marie Curie and Albert ("The Kid") Einstein preventing atomic armageddon.
