It's almost midnight, and I still haven't fallen asleep. It allowed me to finish Allen Steele's "Spindrift" - a first-contact story. I liked it, in spite of some missteps near the end on the author's part where the main female character is concerned. Also, I'm not sure that the framing device that made the novel into one long flashback was really necessary. But that's just me.

I'll now go lie back on the couch with another book.
Hopefully, I'll soon snooze.

Have you read the Coyote books? This is related to that and it makes more sense when you know the background.

I've read some of the stories over the years. After reading Steele's novel "Galaxy Blues" last year, I bought all of the "Coyote" books.
