I quickly figured out that this other novel wasn't going to be my cup of tea, and decided to attempt this thing that people call sleep. It worked. I woke up 4 hours later, and might have succeeded at falling asleep again, except that a thought popped in about work's upcoming merger implementation, and then another thought, and yet another thought, to the point that my mental list became too long. So I got up and wrote the list down because those were changes that the people in charge had not considered, changes that have to be implemented as part of the merger or else there will be trouble.

I am so glad for the existence of coffee.
