The rest of Bubonicon was quite pleasant. Not only were there no disruptions from work, but I got to talk a bit to Carrie Vaughn when I asked her to autograph in a pirate/fantasy anthology. To say that she is a very nice lady is an understatement. There was a steampunk panel that I should probably have offered to be on, although my perspective would have been at odds with everybody else's. There was the masquerade, an occasion for people to be silly. Ian Tregillis read a story about a bomb-squad sapper during London's Blitz who finds himself in a pub run by Gilgamesh. At the end, I helped the con clean up the premises and take things like the art show's peg boards back to the house of Craig Russell, one of the con's hard-working chairs.

I'm looking forward to next year's outing.

I'd love to attend

and hope someday (soon) to do so. Among other things to meet you in person for a bit of time rather than at a Worldcon where we're both going 25 different ways.

Glad you had a good time.

That's true, you're a mere 7-hour ride up north from here. And before you lay heavy hints about Mile-HiCon, we've been thinking about going, but we most likely couldn't make it, for various reasons. Next year though...

Thanks!

Thanks, Ian. I am looking forward to reading the rest of your story since time limits forced you to stop before the end.
