pleasant surprise from the realms

Not long ago, Locus reviewed the December 2006 issue of Realms of Fantasy and that sounded interesting enough that I moved Heaven and Earth (*) to find where I could order a copy of it. I'm still eagerly awaiting its arrival in my mailbox so, in the meantime, I purchased April 2007's issue currently available in newstands. What a pleasant surprise that was. Not only does the magazine look very good, but, in spite of a predominance of gaming-related articles and advertising, this isn't reflected in its fiction, which is quite excellent. I am now a subscriber.
