The bonus from my yearly review appeared on today's paycheck, and not a moment too soon as most of it is already spent...

- minivan repairs... $1400

- laptop repairs... $300

- dog repairs... $600

- having a dent-free minivan, a laptop that works, and a canine 4-pack jumping all over you after a day at the office... Priceless.

Yeah... Our 14-year-old Brownie had a dhiarrea attack, with some blood in the very smelly... ah... results. That turned out to be colitis, and the cure involved some pills... And puppy Cagney had been barfing, with the outcome looking undigested even two hours after his meal. He had to be kept under observation for 24 hours, with an IV, the works. The vet was concerned that the little guy might have swallowed something that was obstructing his digestive tract, which would have meant surgery. In the end, nobody could figure out what the problem had been. He's on a bland diet right now, and seems to be doing fine.

It's good that they're better. Colitis can't be fun for a dog.
