I went to the optometrist tonight. The verdict? No sign of even the beginning of a glimmer of glaucoma or cataracts or other ocular unpleasantness. And... When I had a checkup 2 years ago, my eyesight had not noticeably changed from the way it had been 3 years before. Same conclusion tonight. It's quite a relief that I'm not likely to go blind any time soon. I could have kept the same glasses I've had for almost 5 years now, but I ordered another pair, of a similar model, as a backup.
