I spent much of today doing more yardwork. The Spanish Broom right by Sue's home office window is a huge bush thing. Most of it died because of the winter's extreme cold spells, but there is some green amidst the dead. That meant carefully cutting out the dead branches without harming the intertwined live ones. By the time I was done, the bush looked as ridiculous as Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree. That's OK. I had to go thru the same thing a few years ago, but before you know it, the whole thing was back to this thick 10-foot bush.

Two trips to the dump later, I could call it a day.
I then had entirely too many peanut-butter cookies.
And two glasses of milk.

I don't understand. What is this "too many cookies" of which you speak?

Well, eating close to 20 of them in less than one hour felt like a bit too much by the time I was done.

Mmmm, I haven't thought of peanut butter cookies for a while. I can't have homemade ones, but I might find good storemade tomorrow.

My wife had made those using a mix, with pretty yummy results.

LJ is sending me the comments that didn't come while the name servers were wrong!

I can't use the oven -- it's too dangerous for me to lean over a hot door, particularly if I have to use two hands and can't keep my balance by putting one on the counter.
