My wife caught a nasty cold almost one week ago and is only now beginning to recover. Me, I started developing mild signs of the same cold a couple of days ago. I am now almost rid of the whole thing.

Yes, my immune system is disgustingly good.

Speaking of disgusting biology... Last night, we watched 2010's "Black Death". Spare yourself the experience unless you think that Sean Bean is enough to make up for a nihilistic story.

Does your wife hate you for it? That is the question.

Technically, your immune system is not reacting as strongly to the virus as hers did. Which is "better" is an interesting question.

Hmmm... Good point. Am I letting some crap thru that she's fighting off, or am I stopping it at the doorstep without literally breaking a sweat?

Could be either way. All we know is that the symptoms of a cold are actually symptoms of our own immune system reacting. Think of it as her immune system is making all her cells take of their shoes and go through the full patdown, just in case they're trying to sneak in a virus.

It's like the airport's security theater then - except that I don't have to take my shoes off? And something IS actually trying to get thru?
