Am I a bad person for associating Sousa's "The Thunderer" with 1975's movie "Doc Savage"? Heck, for years, "Stars & Stripes" meant Popeye the Sailor for me. Speaking of "S&S", the TV's music channel played a Barbershop Quartet version of it this morning.

I saw Oh Mr. Sousa this weekend. It was great, but when they played "The Liberty Bell March" I wondered why they left out the foot that goes splat.

My wife said the same thing. By the way, I do wonder how an American march wound up in a British comedy show. Sure, Terry Gilliam was from the USA.
