I found a baby tarantula sneaking into our garage this morning. Since John Agar wasn't around to deal with it, I gently scooped up the little thing in a dustpan and deposited it outside by a tree.

Thanks. After all, one's being Green shouldn't mean excluding brown-haired non-mammals.

On the other hand, you see the above coming from a distance, and they're not anywhere near as harmful as tiny black widows or brown recluses.

Thank you for saving it

I think they eat pestiferous things. which is good.

When my friend J was living in Puerto Rico, he was in the shower and noticed something brown in the corner. Now, in PR you don't let mildew get a foothold, so he bent down to get a better look (no glasses in shower) and suddenly realized he was face to face with a big tarantula. "P, you'd have been proud of me, well after the screaming like a girl part," he said, 'after I got out I got a cup and a piece of cardboard and took it outside."

When I mentionned this to a cubicle neighbor, he immediately said "Did you kill it?" I responded that they go after mice and such, but, from his reaction, he probably thought I'm a weird ecologically-conscious Democrat, Which I am, come to think of it.

I like spiders, and so do the big cats. That's why I try to get the spiders out or to stay up on the ceiling.
