scary 5-year-old girls

I met a scary 5-year-old girl yesterday. No, I’m not talking about the daughter of Daniel & Kat Abraham. Not this time anyway. One of my wife’s friends had a few people over for breakfast for Yom Kippur, and she invited us too. One couple brought its kids along – two well-behaved boys, and the abovementionned girl. At some point the young lady was having problems clipping a tiny Pokemon-like creature on her shirt so I asked if she needed help. She quietly responded “I don’t need help”, at which point her grandma asked if she would like help.
