When I got to the gym at 5am today, I asked them when my yearly membership would be up for renewal. The young lady at the front desk looked it up and it turned out that my membership had expired in November. How embarassing. No wonder I kept thinking it was due to happen. I had assumed that their computer system would raise a flag when my ID card would get scanned - goodness knows that it's loud about it when it's a member's birthday. Anyway. I got a great deal out of this though. When she renewed my membership, not only did she find out that my employer qualified me for a rebate equivalent to two months at the gym, she started my membership as of today, not November. What a great way to begin one's day.
