Almost exactly two years ago, our first digital camera gave up the ghost. Still, we didn't get a new camera because my work-provided Blackberry was able to take decent photos. That Blackberry then gave up the ghost. My employer provided a new Blackberry, but of a model without a flash, which made it quite difficult to take pictures indoors. I just bought a Canon PowerShot ELH100. Cheap, but not too cheap, lightweight, and easy to use by those who are photography-challenged. Of course my first photos were of our pets.
