"Black Ice" and some other words

Tonight, Susan Krinard, aka my wife, asked me to help with her contemporary-fantasy novel "Black Ice", Part Two of the story that began with "Mist". She wasn't sure how to start this one so we talked about it. I made a couple of suggestions, one of which she liked quite a bit. At that point, I decided to drive to the office and get some stuff so that I could work from home tomorrow. (Sue had asked me to do that because she said she'd work better, knowing I was around. Try to figure those crazy artistic types.) When I got home, after a detour to Barnes & Noble, I had a Valentine's Day card, plus a few books ("Feed" by Mira Grant aka Seanan McGuire, plus the paperbacks of Carrie Vaughn's "After The Golden Age" and "Kitty Takes A Holiday") and Sue had written three pages of her prologue. I guess I'll now read some more of Connie Willis's "Fire Watch".
