(Susan, not to be confused with my Sue, and I had exchanged a few posts on Making Light and she'd been trying to connect with me during last year's LAcon. All to no avail, even after she put a message ["Go read the message board,Serge!"] in the 6th issue of worldcon's newsletter, a message I'd missed. We eventually did meet, but only because of sheer luck, helped by my being dressed like a Victorian Time Traveller. Even now I wonder how she managed to have a personal message put in the worldcon newsletter. Maybe she is an International Woman of Mystery like the lady in the picture below.)
