Sue and I spent this last weekend at the Casitas de Gila, in Cliff, a small New Mexico town 30 miles west of Silver City. It had been eight years since our last visit and this time we made sure to be there when temperatures haven't yet begun to feel like that inside an oven. In fact the weather was perfect. We were quite amused by one part of the state that proudly proclaims itself UN-free. Sue did a bit of writing, we did a bit of hiking, did quite a bit of reading, and had an allaround good time. The first photo shows our casita, then the view from our place, and finally one of our neighbors.
