the most important reminder

Today was a days of reminders. That I'd be a better team lead than what we have. That, for all my knowledge, my higherups see me as nothing but a handyman unless there's a problem. That they'll never consult me, or keep me in the loop. That there's no point in expressing my concerns to the boss because he's never done anything to resolve the situation. The most important reminder though is that NONE OF THIS MATTERS. One day, soon, I'll leave and they'll be floundering and drowning in their own refuse.
