While I was waiting for the bus to show up this morning, 3 ladies walked by on the nearby hiking path. So what? As far as I could tell, it was a grandmother, her daughter, and her daughter's 12-year-old daughter. Neat to see 3 generations together.

Besides, that... This week I've resumed my pre-dawn workouts at the gym after spending the last few weeks landscaping the backyard. My thighs are sore. And I'm 8 pounds lighter than the last time I was there. But I should be able to quickly recover my Hugh Jackman physique.

("There go Serge's delusions again..." some mean people are probably thinking.)

It sounds pretty good to me. I'm obese, and I've been working out on a treadmill the past couple of weeks. I've no idea how much weight (if any) I've lost.

Will you develop Hugh Jackman's dancing skills as well? Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly would want you to join their ranks, I just know it!

Must you be so cruel and hammer at my delusions? Heheheh...

I'm not trying to be mean! I just have this image of you with a boater and cane, doing a little bit of softshoe. Hugh Jackman did in The Boy from Oz.

btw - I love your icon.

If I tried the boater-and-cane thing, I'd probably trip over the cane and be nowhere as graceful as Hugh Jackman. (Did you see him in the revival of Oklahoma! ?)

About my icon... Thanks. It's from Big Trouble in Little China, by the way. Now, if I could find a photo of Max von Sydow wearing that short white beard... (It is my hope I'll look like that when I'm done paying off the mortgage.)

I didn't see Jackman in Oklahoma!, though I bet he was pretty darn good.

Are you looking for Max von Sydow with the Blofeld beard? Like in this picture?

Jackman played Curly, I assume? Hmm. "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" with a British accent.

He did indeed play Curly. That production shows up on PBS every once in a while, usually when they want to ask viewers for money, but it's also available on DVD. As far as I, a non-native English speaker, can tell, he got rid of most of his original Australian accent. If you want to hear what his normal voice is like, find the movie Paperback Hero, where he plays a trucker in the Outback who secretly is a romance writer.
