Time for the ritual of flipping my office's calendar to the new month. June's art, taken from Startling Stories's Winter 1946 issue, goes back to the premise of the calendar's earlier months, which emphasized the physical superiority of women over men. How else to explain that, while Captain Future needs a full suit and a fishbowl to protect himself from the surrounding vacuum, his lady companion needs only metallic hotpants and a bra, besides the fishbowl?
