Let's see. I am done with this year's landscaping. Yesterday... I finished weeding the backyard area that had been a jungle since last year due to two Projects from Hell that had left little time for such tasks. Today... I mowed the lawn and in the process broke off a sprinkler head, which I'm now done digging around so that tomorrow all the plumber will have to do is the plumbing thing. (As is well known, I have no talent for plumbing, but holes I can deal with. Not that I've ever dug myself into one, of course.) I've replaced the hose-reel dispenser that had sprung a leak. Anything else to do? Thinking, thinking... Going thru my mental checklist... The only thing I have left to work on this summer appears to be the toolshed's shaky wall. I must be forgetting something. Well, I guess this means I can consider the next few days to be a real vacation until my return to the office on Monday. Heck, the toolshed's wall has been wobbling for a couple of years now. A few more weeks shouldn't make much of a difference. So, yes, I am on vacation.

What to do now?

Well, I just came back from the comic-book store where I discovered the first 3 issues of a new HellBoy mini-series. And the first 3 issues of Joss Whedon's Runaways. And Grant Morrison's Superman where I'll finally find what's happening on Planet Bizarro. And Action Comics, where our hero was last seen being shoved into the Phantom Zone by General Zod and a few other Kryptonian escapees.

A jungle in New Mexico? Really?!

You really do keep yourself busy, Serge.

Well, it is said that idle hands are the Devil's workshop.

I've heard that. It doesn't explain W, though.

Maybe the saying applies to idle brains too.

I suppose it might!
