Last night's flight from Albuquerque to the Bay Area went pretty well. Not only did it start on time, but it took a bit less than the usual 2.5 hours. I've gone on that flight enough that it's all ho-hum now, especially since it was in the evening this time, which meant no peeking at Yosemite's El Capitan cliff from wayyyyy up. I'd normally have dozed off, but I found myself enjoying the novel Modesty Blaise. By 9pm, as we landed in Oakland, I was still going at it, never nodding off. Had I been dozing, the flight attendant's thank-you-for-flying-Southwest would have definitely woken me up. There is something about such a thank-you being sung, and to the tune of Barney the Dinosaur's love song...
Upon landing, I found the airport shuttle to the BART Station already there. When the BART train arrived at the 12th Street Station, the train to Concord was also there. I don't know if this synchronicity is an omen of how well things will go this week, with my manager being only a short distance away instead of 1100 miles away, but Hope springs eternal.
Especially sicne she's scheduled my midyear review for Wednesday.

Oh, know what you're missing? My full and complete assimilation into the Doctor Who cult. And it's all your fault, you know.
