colorful tights

"Brigadoon" is on TCM and even though it stars Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse, it's not one of my favorite musicals. For one thing, the village *is* a prison and the inhabitants all put themselves in there under the mistaken belief that it was the only escape from the threat of witches. On the other hand... It does have Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse. Oh, and who knew that the Scotsmen of yore wore colorful tights?

2. I have never managed to sit through the whole thing; nevertheless I get the occasional earworm of "Go Home with Bonnie Jean."
3. Or maybe a witch put them in there as self-defense (that story has never made sense).

I wonder what the Brigadoon folks will say when they materialize after the Sun has become a red giant.
