These last few months, my girl Freya has been showing rapid signs of aging. She's not quite 13-year-old, but her peepers, her ears and her nose aren't what they used to be. And we think she's becoming senile. She'll get up, start walking then stop, as if she'd forgotten what to do next. Worst though was today. She'd wandered to the top of our backyard. When Sue called her back, Freya didn't come down the stairs. She jumped straight out from the top of the 5-foot retaining wall and landed flat on her belly. Luckily my girl didn't break anything.
