I arrived at the Bay Area late yesterday morning. My cunning plan of going straight from the airport to discreetly meet with my formerformerformer(...)former boss to see how things are going with that possible job opening didn't work out, what wih his having to attend a meeting with his team at the last minute. Disappointing, but that's how it goes. I got to my team's office on the other side of the Bay, and they seemed genuinely pleased to see me. As for the boss and his new henchboss, they're not flying in until Wednesday. My fingers are crossed about how that'll go. In other news... I'm staying at my sister-in-law, where I learned that my 11-year-old nephew has never seen "LoTR", but not only did he recognize Gollum when the latter talked, but he referred to him as Smeagol. It'd appear that there are quite a few kids out there who spoof him and the Precioussss...
