the case of the recalcitrant knuckle
Aug. 23rd, 2007 06:03 amInteresting. My finger's problematic knuckle is almost completely back to normal. I do feel it a very small bit, but I can make a fist without wincing. (Not that I need to use said fist, mind you.) That knuckle doesn't bend backward as much as its left-hand counterpart does, but it can bend. I understand that arthritis can flare up then subside, but to almost nothing? Of course, it may well be that the problem was/is not arthritis. I'm still going to that doctor's appointment next week, just before Sue and I go on that road trip to southern Utah.
More good news...
Some time ago I mentionned here that, on September 8, on the very day of our return from that vacation, I'd have to go to the office for my employer's second business-continuation exercise of the mainframe. The exercise has been cancelled due to a situation early this week where the established business-continuation rules had to be used for a real-life situation - and were proven to work. I am so disappointed. Right. I haven't forgotten the weekend, 7 years ago almost to that day, when I had to juggle participating in the mainframe exercise while also getting ready for our move from California to New Mexico. Somehow, in 1975, I didn't expect that my turning 45 in the year 2000 would be such a frigging mess.

On 4 September, btw, I'll be heading for your homeland.
