Guess what I did for a few hours this weekend.
("Weeding?")
You must be a psychic. But the weeding didn't involve the flower beds, or the area that normally consists of bare dirt. The backyard's lawn is about 20 feet deep by 60 feet wide, and it had been invaded by a weed for the first time since we moved here 13 years ago. That may be due to the drought that hit the state until recently, To keep the weed from really choking up the lawn, I might have found something that'd kill the weed, but not the lawn. Rather than risk destroying the lawn in order to save it, I uprooted each and every weed I found. Time-consuming, yes, but more efficient than the alternatives. I think I'll now relax. Maybe I'll finish watching "Captain Nemo and the Underwater City" then I'll resume reading Seanan McGuire's "Ashes of Honor". Provided my body doesn't demand a nap.
