I see the news about the Miss America contest, and the racist reactions, and I find myself thinking of "Terra Nova". Remember that 2011 TV series about people from late in our century finding a refuge from ecological collapse by travelling to the prehistorica past? The premise was neat, but it got almost everything wrong. Except for one thing. Sure, the two main male characters were white. but everybody else was this or that shade of brown. That's the future, and if it scares you, too bad. An aside... The hero's wife was played by an actress of Sri Lanka ancestry, and was the great niece of actress Merle Oberon.
