It looks like I'll need to do some Black Friday shopping after all. Our Blu-ray player's remote has gone on the blink. Not only will it not turn on the player itself, but the remote itself now interferes with the TV, automatically turning the sound down to zero, and I had to yank out its battery to stop its shenanigans. Luckily it was a cheap player we'd had for a couple of years, but I'd have preferred spending the day far from the madding crowds.
