Well, that was interesting. I pop a disk in the BluRay player and nothing happens. The remote doesn't have any effect. I push the player's separate power button and nothing happens. The TV says the player doesn't exist. After too much time, I decide to take the Jack Carter(*) approach. I move the TV/DVR/player's desk so that I can reach the player's plug and yank it out. I plug it back in and everything works now. Go figure.
