I took Sue in for the final followup for her right eye's her cataract-surgery, and everything is looking good. Literally. Unfortunately the doctor can't do her left eye until six weeks from now. After I drove Sue home, I went to Lenscrafter to have them safely remove the right lenses from her backup pairs of glasses. It was going to take them fifteen minutes so I went next door to Barnes & Noble, where I *forced* myself to buy the nice fat paperback of the anthology "Songs of the Dying Earth". I then made dinner and managed not to boil the tortellini into oblivion. Sue is working like crazy on the revisions for her fantasy novel "Black Ice" so I guess I'll resume reading Peter Beagle's "The Last Unicorn". I can see why Melinda Snodgrass thinks so highly of the author.
