I just finished reading Lisa Goldstein's fantasy novel "Walking The Labyrinth", about a young woman living in the Bay Area who one day is approached by an investigator about some inheritance. One thing leads to another and she finds that she is the last of a family of stage magicians, some of whom may have been more than *stage* magicians.
Recommended.
