pink points
May. 18th, 2014 02:15 pmThis morning I ripped out most of that dead bush without any tools. I wish I could say it's because of my thews, but while they may be mighty, it helped that desert bushes aren't exactly made of sturdy material. Parts of the bush were alive so I left those alone. Taking the remains to the dump took two trips, one for the bush itself, the next for the four big planters of detritus that had accumulated under the bush over the years. Note to myself: when driving with containers in the back, make sure they're stable. It took me half an hour to clean up the mess when one planter's contents kept going forward after I braked suddenly. After I was done with that, I went to the big-box garden store to get a new straw hat, and found myself waiting in line behind a pre-teen lady armed with a pink bow & arrows.
