Not only is The Hard Nut FINALLY being released on DVD, but the show will be at UC Berkeley during the Holidays. Yay!

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, in the early 1990s the Mark Morris Dance Group came up with a different approach to Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. It uses Pete's music as is. The look though is inspired by underground comics of the 1960s, which is why, among other unusual elements, we have the Rat King as a multiheaded rodent dressed like Elvis.

I still have our recording of the time PBS showed it in 1993. Pretty decent quality for something that was not pre-recorded. When I have the DVD in my mitts, I'll probably post an entry asking if anybody wants the tape.

Like I said above, my tape is of decent quality. Do you want it, once I have the DVD?

Don't break a leg. It'll probably two weeks before I get the DVD. Now, if only they'd release A Blackadder Christmas Carol on DVD... Sure, I have it on a pre-recorded tape, but...
